December Recipes: Eggnog

Lauren’s Spiked Eggnog


  • 60ml of H by Hine VSOP Cognac
  • 1 egg
  • 15ml simple syrup*
  • 60ml milk

*Simple syrup: Using equal amounts hot water and sugar, dissolve into a clear liquid. Allow to cool before using.


Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker and shake without ice for 20 seconds to combine ingredients.

Open the cocktail shaker and place six one-inch square ice cubes into the cocktail shaker.

Shake again for 10-12 seconds to chill and dilute the cocktail.

Pour and strain the cocktail into chilled coupe glass.

Garnish by grating some nutmeg on to the surface of the drink.
